Homework, sort of

The Moodle Page has several links with games and activities that we can work on at home to reinforce the class room lessons. Terra is pretty much already up to the point where she is supposed to be at the end of the week, so we decided to check out some of the links and games. I'm sharing them here, because they're awesome resources, whether you're homeschooling or sending your child attend public school.

I am still sad that homeschooling just didn't work out for us. Honestly, they're not doing anything in class that I couldn't have done from home, but
I lack the organizational skills and lesson plans. I still feel like I kind of do a lot of homeschool type stuff, but now I have a set curriculum that I can follow. I lacked the guidance I needed to be a successful homeschooler. I think now I'm able to really help her with her lessons in sort of a homeschool setting in the afternoons, but her (amazing) teacher is setting the stage and providing the guide for me to follow.

Let me just say, any parent who can successfully home school their child gets props from me. But for us, I got to the point that I realized that my own flaws were resulting in a situation where I was holding Terra back, and that went against every reason I had for home schooling in the first place. And I have to admit, public school has really opened Terra up to a more socially rounded situation.
